It is an example of how innovation can improve the environment, and be a source of economic growth."
The notoriously foul Mamak landfill is now the source of heat and energy for greenhouses outside Ankara thanks to aid from the World Bank and a garbage-recycling station. If Turkey can focus on alternative energy sources, it could create more jobs, says a World Bank deputy chief.
